The Countrymen Band
All things come to an end. So it is for The Countrymen Band. The Band
has retired.
Started in 1969 The Countrymen consist of two brothers, Jaime and Gary
Trial, and father and son, Al and Fred Michalczak.
Al, Jaime and Gary have been together since the summer of 1971, when Al
joined the band, with Fred joining in 1986.
The longevity of the band reflects the day to day lives of its members.
Jaime retired from Sears after 40 years. Gary was President of his family's
pawn shop for over 37 years, and continues to employ his skills as a
Gunsmith at home. Al retired from the San Antonio Fire Department after 35
years and has since retired from the band after 50 years.
Even Fred has had the same job, music, all of his adult life.

We would like to thank ALL of our followers that have danced to us for 55
years.

Without the lovers of traditional country music, there would not be bands
around that play it.

It has been a privilege to be able to share the bandstand with many
excellent musicians over the years, this will stay in our memories
forever.

On behalf of Jaime, Al, Fred & Myself, THANK YALL for helping keep REAL
country music alive.
